American Airlines is adding yet even more fee's.  Now when you buy a ticket on American Airlines that ticket will get you a seat but that's it.  If you want any services beyond that you will have to pay for it.  There are two package options being offered to passengers.

1) Choice Essential: $68.00 per round trip, offers a flight change for no fee, one bag checked for free and group 1 boarding.

2) Choice Plus: $88.00 per round trip, offers no flight change fee, one checked bag, group 1 boarding, same-day flight change or standby, 50% bonus miles and a premium beverage on board.

Fully Flexible, business and first class fares still include the standard benefits.
