International Expeditions will be launching a new riverboat this year. The ship is being constructed in Peru and will sail the Amazon River this summer. The vessel will offer cabins with private balconies, a multimedia lecture room, a fitness center, kayaks, nightly reception with complimentary Peruvian cocktails, wine and beer. There will also be a 1,000 square foot Amazon observation deck.
Each cabin will be 220 square feet and will be decorated in handcrafted furniture created by Peruvian artist. They will also feature native handicrafts and textiles from Amazonian tribes and river villages. Each cabin will have a private bath and a balcony with a cushioned chair and ceiling fan.
The price for a 10 day expedition cruise starts at $4,398 and includes daily naturalist guided excursions, complimentary laundry service while onboard, nightly receptions, most meals, transfers, pre-cruise accommodations at Lima’s Swissotel, post tour dayroom, tours of Colonial Lima and Iquito and services of an experienced expedition leader and two local naturalist guides.
